Laramie Online is a fictional company present within both the Octangula ARG and the 7 ARG, existing within the fictional state Laramie. The company is behind the BIGPRISM computer and the Laramie Online office. The Laramie Online books were also found in the underground office.
History[]
Laramie Online was named after the state it was founded in, Laramie.
The company had at least five employees at some point: Mike Lincoln, Mariah Camrey, Jonas Rothschild, Francine Colby, and one unknown name. Andrew, Todd, and Jim may have also been employees at Laramie Online, based on Andrew's day logs and references to Laramie. A poster created by Chip shows that some other staff members included 'Stinkpot', 'Lionel', 'Warden' and a fourth member (possibly 'Warren'), though the poster is cut off before the full name can be seen.
Laramie Online invented BIGPRISM as its first "prototype astral-projection computer", and Mariah, through its use, "found the truth and meaning of reality". Laramie Online, in a supposed effort to silence her, disconnected her from BIGPRISM without following protocol, leaving only her body behind with no conscious mind to control it.
An opposing group who follows the Merkabah religion has since taken her body and a lot of technology from Laramie Online, and created their own system called ONEPRISM, which was originally designed to host a minecraft server, and is supposedly less optimized for digital astral projection. Mariah's body is currently lying stationary and unmoving, although it is still alive.
After what was described as an incoming "total breakdown of the system", the Laramie Online office appears abandoned and seems to be in the SMPEarth map now. All of the employees were gone without a trace, with the exceptions of two skeletons named Warren and Warden.
The BIGPRISM computer's disappearance may have been its phase-shift out of the SMPEarth world rather than an explosion, as the bedrock had disappeared too leaving behind only a void.

Theories[]
Laramie is referenced as a state in the hidden text within the HTML page of the BIGPRISM Archived files, leading to the conclusion that Laramie is the state that Laramie Online is headquartered in. However, it is also theorized that the company may actually be headquartered in the real Laramie, Wyoming, or Sheridan, Wyoming as well as Cheyenne, Wyoming, based on numerous references to the locations during the Sheridan Trail section of the ARG.
