7 ARG

Not to be confused with The Octangula ARG, the original ARG storyline devised by Chip.

The 7 ARG (also called Josh's ARG) was one of the two ARGs that took place on SMPEarth, the other being the Octangula ARG. It features the number 7 as well as volcanoes as prominent, recurring elements.

The 7 ARG appears to share a universe with the Octangula ARG, as BIGPRISM, and Laramie have both been mentioned, but it follows a different story with different characters.

• Discovered by KaraCorvus on Day 35

	-600 were found in the top right corner of the Dynmap at 17540, -88. This led to the Santa's Grotto.
Santa's Grotto is gone-1	Inside the crater, Kara found a hidden room and eventually discovered a sign saying “uqLDvjpDBgU”. This was discovered to have been part of the URL of a YouTube video featuring Josh blowing up Santa's Grotto
	At the end of the video, an odd noise played. Upon being put through a spectrogram, the text "Sinai" can be read, referring to Mount Sinai, near the Kingdom of Jordan.
	Kara discovered a small cave inside the mountain. Three skeletons; two of which she had to kill. One skeleton was named Andrew, another was named Todd, and the third was named Jim, who was inside of a cage. Also inside of the cave was a mapart of a 7 engulfed in flames. Behind the mapart was a hidden chest.
	MTktNS0yMi01LTeo1DktMtkgMtetNsoyNQ== Upon being decoded, the Base64 text read a series of numbers separated by dashes and spaces. .19-5-22-5-14 9-19 11-5-25 .This was discovered to have been an A1Z26 cipher, and was decoded into more text, with the spaces being the spaces in words. SEVEN IS KEY It should be noted that Josh often joked that 7 is the IP of the SMPEarth server, and that this section of the ARG appears to have been run by Josh. Kara investigated several possible locations, including the 7 of the bedrock coordinates, the location (7, 7), (777, 777), and (7777, 7777). Nothing of interest was found in any of the areas at the time.

Volcanoes

Main article: Volcanoes

Although there were already several naturally-generated volcanoes on the server at its launch, many new volcanoes were created by Josh as locations to progress the ARG. These volcanoes contained new clues once erupted, and were usually hosted on very specific coordinates (e.g. (0,0), (5757), (7777).) Volcanoes are usually mostly composed of netherrack and have lava at its core if erupted or ready to erupt.
